William D. King, MD '45

Bill King. of Canton, Ohio, entered the Chapter Eternal on May 20, 2013. He was 89 years old. A physician specializing in issues of the head, eyes, ears, nose and throat for 54 years, he retired in 1999.  

His college years were interrupted by WWII but he completed medical school at Mount Union and entered Case Western Reserve Medical School as a private in the U.S. Army.  He later studied opthalmology at Harvard University, returning to Canton in 1954, where he went into practice with his father.

Bill and his wife, Janet, were among the founding families of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He was a lifelong tenor in the church choir. His service also included the vestry and financial support.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Janet McKeon King '45
