Paul Gillespie '41Paul George Gillespie entered the Chapter Eternal Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas. Born Dec. 15, 1919, in Canon City, Colorado, he was 93.

Paul graduated from Denison in 1941 with a degree in civil engineering and began his aeronautical engineering career at Curtis Wright in Columbus, Ohio. In 1949 he moved to Fort Worth to work at Convair Aerospace (later General Dynamics), eventually moving to Lockheed Martin. He worked as an aeronautical engineer on the B-58, F-111 and F-16 programs. He retired in 1986.

Paul was a leader in the Ridglea Presbyterian Church which he joined in 1950, serving as deacon and trustee and also as a member of the Chancel Choir.

Survivors included his wife, Martha Gillespie; son, Jack Gillespie and wife, Missy; daughter, Anne Augugliaro and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Alex Ciaraffo, Jason Ciaraffo, Hayley Gillespie, Mia Gillespie and Geer Gillespie; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Conner Ciaraffo.
